The summer.film.academy in Görlitz will accompany you and the other participants over two weeks in developing and realizing short films in teams, covering screenwriting, directing, camera, editing and sound.

Our different workshops will lead you through the production steps of a shortfilm. We will provide the tools and space to apply your newly learned skills on your corporate production. Being an international community for two weeks, we will learn with and from each other and share experiences and knowledge, whilst connecting creativity and productivity– leading to our public premiere in the city of Görlitz, to celebrate our results. No matter which background and level of experience in filmmaking you have, everyone is welcome to become a part of our 2025 edition.

We are interested in the region „Lausitz“, a melting point of three countries, where we create a meeting point for people from different backgrounds for cultural and creative interchange.
We want to explore the themes of identity, home, and origin through film, with content support from local actors and contributors.
