Zoé lives in Görlitz and is a graduate in the Production Assistance and Camera and Lighting courses at the Saxon Film Academy. In the course of her internship, she joined the academy in the summer of 2022 and has since been a permanent member of the team, assisting with planning, procuring film equipment and managing the Summer Film Academy’s social media channel.

Steffen Cieplik, the founder of creoflux, is a true all-rounder in the world of film production. With extensive skills in camera work, sound design, editing, grading, and composition, he brings years of experience from television, video, and music production to creoflux. His scientifically grounded approach to visual and advertising impact makes him a unique expert in the industry.

Vanessa Ivan completed her bachelor’s degree in architecture (B.A.) and is currently still in her final year at the Adbk Munich studying time-based media with Julian Rosefeldt. Through the Munich Kammerspiele, where she worked on „WUT“ – a performative production by Nicolas Stemann – she developed video concepts for theatrical space. She currently focuses on working with musicians and creates visual live shows such as „The evolution of Disco Music“ for the jazz club Domicil Dortmund. With her duo „Ivo Profan and the Kobayashi”, she creates a collage-like multiverse of politics and slapstick that is expressed in space through video, sculpture, images and texts.

Philipp aka Lux Arkana is a Berlin-based DJ, music producer, and resident at the legendary KitKat Club. A decade after his first set at ZEGG, he returns to light up the second part of the Easter Trance Night. Blending hypnotic melodies with driving rhythms, his sound transcends genres to create deep, transformative dance rituals. Expect timeless moments and a shared journey between death and becoming — carried by music that moves body and soul.

Steffy was a participant in the 2022 Academy and became a part of the team. She was born and raised in Virginia. She holds a BA in interdisciplinary arts administration, a combination of arts business, media studies, acting, and business, as well as an MFA in Theatre Directing. Steffy has been a freelance artist in Berlin since August 2022. Her work here includes teaching (Catalyst Berlin, InterACT English), editing and translation (ZDF, The Princeton Review), and creating new independent theater/dance/film interdisciplinary work, in collaboration with local artists. For SFA, Steffy handles translation and assists with event planning.

From recipe development to the production of food videos to kitchen planning and cooking – Nina is professionally involved with food. As food, its processing and combinations are her thing, but daily kitchen work is not, she mainly cooks at retreats or events and of course for friends. As part of the cooking team, she also prepares lunches for the participants during the Academy. Her favorite meal. In addition to a sharp knife, she has Milan in her luggage, who has also supported her for the last two summers at the Pizzeria „Cocolores“, a pop-up pizzeria at Coconat (where Nina also works „on the side“ when she is not cooking in Kühlhaus Görlitz).

Alex was born in Siberia, grew up in Aschaffenburg and started her studies in Visual Communication at the Kunsthochschule Kassel in 2015. In 2019, she won the Rundgang Award of the Uni- versity of Kassel with her first short documentary film JUNGS VON DER KANTE. She graduated in 2022 with a major in Film & Moving Image and Intermedia Photography with the documentary METZGERGRÜN. In it, she provides intimate insights into various residential worlds in the „feel-good city“ of Freiburg and deals with social inequality on the basis of gentrification.

Julia Lorek, a talented actress from Cieszyn, Poland, graduated from the Anthony Osuchowski High School in 2023 with a focus on linguistics. Her acting journey began with notable roles in theatre, including "Malina" directed by Bogdan Słupczyński in 2022. She ventured into film by co-directing and starring in "The King’s Gambit" in December 2023. Julia continues to hone her skills at Vienna’s English Theatre Academy since September 2023, expanding her repertoire and pursuing her passion for acting.

Jan Reuter, a distinguished graduate of the Kassel University of Arts with a specialization in animation film, seam- lessly intertwines his fervor for animated art with a profound interest in the realm of music. His role encompasses not only participant support, where he provides valuable guidance and assistance, but also extends to the meticulous organization and nurturing mentorship of various projects within the domain of animated filmmaking. Drawing from his extensive background in both animation and music, Jan brings a unique perspective and creative energy to the Summer Film Academy, contributing to the vibrant intersection of visual story- telling and musical expression.

Lisa Raudnitschka is a talented young designer with a Bachelor's degree in Integrated Design from Anhalt University of Applied Sciences. During her studies, she specialized in motion graphics and photography, developing a passion for illustration as well. Her professional experience is diverse. She worked as a camera operator for the musical "Cabaret" at the Anhalt Theatre Dessau and gained film production experience during the Virtual Open Day for Pfarrer Florian Birnbach Elementary School. Additionally, she was part of the production team at Anhalt University and worked with the DokuTeam. Lisa has also shared her knowledge and skills by leading workshops, including "Paper & Lights – Study at the Bauhaus" at Gymnasium im Stift Neuzelle, where she completed her secondary education. Outside of her career and academics, Lisa loves cats, plays the violin, and enjoys a well-made cup of coffee.

n 2017, Alex picked up his loyal companion — the photo camera — and filmed a short video. Just to try it out. But in that very moment, he was hooked. This is it — film! After years of training, sweat and passion, he decided in 2021 to turn his calling into a profession and founded filmotions. Alex thinks and lives in images and stories. Sometimes a film idea hits him at night and he stays awake until the rough cut plays in his head. Then he dives into the work: concept, exposé, screenplay, storyboard, funding, project planning — you name it. But what he loves most is grabbing the camera and turning ideas into reality. Into stories that take off. When he's not filming, you’ll find him with his analog and digital photo cameras — or at the piano, where he also composes film music.

Sebastian is an essay filmmaker, former guest lecturer and editor in Berlin. He shoots music videos, interviews and experimental essayistic films. He gained his first experience with director Hubertus Siegert. In the course of the project Stadt auf Probe he was a guest in Görlitz for a few weeks and during this time learned to love Lusatia beyond its borders. At the SFA, he takes on tasks in strategy development and program design and builds up international cooperations.
